Maths - Hilbert Space

So far we have been looking at spaces with different numbers of dimensions. Now it gets even weirder: we look at spaces with an infinite number of dimensions.

An example is Fourier series, where a repeating function of one (or more) dimensions is represented by a sine wave with a possibly infinite number of harmonics.

In general what would be a vector in a finite dimension space becomes a function in Hilbert space.
