It can be useful to be able to see a diagram representation of our ecore model.
| If the Ecore editor is not already installed then install it: |  |
| Because I'm using Xtext I also installed 'Sirus integration with Xtext' |  |
| I also installed GMF |  |
Once these are installed and Eclipse is installed and restarted we can create the diagram:
| To create a diagram from an '.ecore' file then right-click on the .ecore model file and click: 'Initialise Ecore Diag file' |  |
| I selected the root element |  |
| This produced the diagram |  |
Alternative using Sirus
It should also be posible to produce diagram using Sirus:
