The first time I tried installing SUSE 10.2 I got this error here.
This is from 10.1 but 10.2 is similar:
When the install is complete it is important to install the nVidia graphics drivers as explained here.

System Clock
Yast -> Network Services -> NTP Client
Sound
I found that the sound was playing very slowly (like an old analog tape recorder going very slow) to fix this I had to got kMix:
(from loudspeaker icon in panel tray, click on mixer, then switches tab):
Set 'Multi Track Internal Clock' to 48000.
