SUSE can either be downloaded and burned to disc or bought as a package on disc. They are the same except the packaged version includes copyright items such as Java and multimedia. I bought the packaged version as it is a bit easier although I'm not sure its worth the cost.

Unlike the last version 9.3 there is only one packaged version of 10.0. This has only a Start-up guide (The professional version of 9.3 had a User guide and an Administrators guide) This printed documentation was one of the strong points of SUSE 9.3, I think it is unfortunate that Novell seen to have dropped this.

The 1 DVD and 6 CDs are in paper package, again this is much less impressive than version 9.3 which was in a nice plastic binder.
