If you do not know what program to use then a good choice is JBuilder, it is
available free from http://www.borland.com/jbuilder/
Once you have loaded the program from borlands web site, then you will need
to set it up as follows:

code onto your computer.

Download the latest version of Java3D (The full version - not just the JRE)
and run the EXE to install it on your computer:

This book may be useful if you are using JBuilder. Learn Java with Jbuilder 6
- Introduces Java language and Swing from a practical, step by step, rather than
theoretical point of view. JBuilder 8 has now been introduced so there may be
a few difference if you are using the latest version of JBuilder.

JBuilder - There is also a free version of Jbuilder at borland
website . However its licence conditions are quite restrictive so you may
prefer another java IDE.
